The Comandante is known for its high-quality build and consistent grind, thanks to its stainless steel burrs. It also has a wide range of grind settings, making it versatile for different brewing methods. On the other hand, the Porlex Mini is a more compact and affordable option, with ceramic burrs that provide a more uniform grind. However, it has a smaller capacity and limited grind settings compared to the Comandante.
Ultimately, the choice between these grinders depends on your budget and specific coffee brewing needs. Both are great options for achieving a delicious and consistent cup of coffee.
My favorite is the Porlex Mini that I have had since 2013 with daily use since then. I only had to change the ceramic burr once because it was naturally worn. But the top advantage of the Porlex Mini, at least for me, is that it can fit perfectly inside my Aeropress when traveling.
